Church Life
Church is about relationships - with God, with each other and with others. We believe that it is essential to build friendships and community both on a Sunday morning and through serving and living life together. In this section of the website you can get a little bit of insight into some of the organised activities we do together.
Home Groups
Home Groups are where we really grow in our relationship with God and in relationship with others. The bible is clear; only connected people grow, following Jesus is never a solo effort. We grow best alongside others who encourage, pray for and challenge us in our life with God.
Home groups are communities of 6 - 10 people that meet in people’s homes. Through worship, study, serving and praying together, home group members find mutual support, practical love and encouragement to grow.
You can choose which group you go to and try out where you are most at home. If you want to know any more or want advice about Home Groups please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Building Community
We regularly meet together as a church family in various contexts that offer the opportunity to build relationship with each other and encourage each other in our relationship with God.
We meet together regularly for supper following our church service on a Sunday afternoon. We also have regular events specifically for men and women such as meals together, camping trips or weekend retreats.
All our events are open to all. If fact our goal is to have new people come and join us. So all are welcome to come along as we get to know each other, encourage each other, and enjoy a fun time together.
Serving
We believe every member at Vineyard is a minister of Jesus Christ and has a special place to serve God in His Church. As a church we want to welcome those who are searching for meaning in life and looking for God. Getting involved with different service in the church gives us a sense of belonging and fulfilment. More importantly we are following Jesus’ example. He came not to be served but to serve… Mark 10:45.
There are plenty of opportunities to serve at Beachside in Setup, Kids programs, Worship, sound, and outreach. If you would like to discover the unique things God has made you for, why not come and serve with us
Mission and Outreach
Our God is a missionary God. By that we mean that He loves and cares about all people everywhere, and is actively seeking followers from all cultures, languages and people groups on the face of the earth. Jesus commanded us to make disciples not just in our own locality but all around the world (Matthew 4:23, 28:19-20).
We encourage each member of Beachside Vineyard to play their part in this mission, whether it is serving short term in overseas mission, providing financially for missions and compassion, or sharing Gods love in our community. Corporately, some of the ways Beachside Vineyard are supporting Gods mission are:
- Ban Suk Jai Children’s Home Thailand
A ministry pioneered out of Beachside Vineyard by David and Tracey Wade. For more information see Ban Suk Jai
Caravan Park Ministry
Building relationship and meeting practical needs for residents at a local caravan park.
Kids Hope Aus
A mentoring program for at risk children in a local primary school. Visit Site
Missions Teams
We believe missions teams are a great way to support overseas missions and give our people a taste of God’s heart for the world. We are currently partnering with Destiny Rescue in Cambodia and Thailand.
If you would like to be involved in any of the above please let us know.
